“Dance” for Smt. Revathi Srinivasraghavan is devotion that she has inherited from her Guru Smt. Komalavalli Krishnamani.
This devotion was her best medium of bringing to surface the divinity ingrained in the soul by the Lord and reaching out to Him.
This instinct of inspiration led to the birth of the Nrityaranjani Fine Arts Academy in the year 1989 and was registered as a Public Charitable Trust in 2002-Registration No. E20267 of 24 05 2002
The Academy blossomed as a small dance class for young aspirants at Dattani Park Society at Kandivali East, Mumbai. Today the Academy has expanded and moved to Thakur complex, Kandivali East, Mumbai.
As the Academy traversed through time, it saw multitude of students inherit the same devotion from their beloved teacher Smt. Revathi as she played a pivotal role in shaping the character of the future civilians of the country by teaching them about the values and morals in our rich Indian tradition and mythology, apart from Bharatnatyam.
Since the inception of NFA Academy it has been her strong belief and constant endeavour to provide a platform to all her young dancers to showcase their talent and learning and so the Academy’s Annual Day is ritualistically conducted year after year.
Scores of students every year successfully perform their Arangetram and also achieve meritorious results at various coveted examinations like Nritya Visharad and Nritya Alankar conducted by the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal under her tireless efforts and able guidance.
The landmark achievement of completion of 25 years by Nrityaranjani Fine Arts Academy in 2014 was epitomised by Smt. Revathi Srinivasraghavan by launching the Academy’s very own Dance Festival, which is being conducted every year, where dance performances are conducted over two days showcasing different classical styles, by seasoned exponents of Classical Indian Dance.
